Located in the Niagara-on-the-Lake, in the heart of Canada’s premier viticulture district, Diamond Estates – The Winery crafts its wines from grapes specifically chosen from a variety of carefully managed vineyards throughout Niagara. Vice President of Wine Making, Tom Green and winemakers Jason Roller and Scott McGregor take these grapes and create a diverse range of reds, whites, fruit wines and Icewines under seven unique brands: Lakeview Cellars, FRESH wines, Hat Trick Wines, 20 Bees, Dan Aykroyd Wines, Sundance Wines and Fruit Flavoured Wines and EastDell Estates. The Dan Aykroyd Signature Series Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 was recently recognized with Double Gold at the All Canadian Wine Championships and Lakeview Cellar’s Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2007 was awarded Gold.
Recognizing the important role that the natural environment plays in creating exceptional wines, Diamond Estates – The Winery has woven its commitment to environmental stewardship throughout the operation. From BIOBED filtration to treat process water from winery production, to insulating fermentation tanks to reduce energy consumption, Diamond Estates – The Winery leaves no stone unturned in its quest to reduce its environmental impact. The winery even leverages its 35,000 feet of rooftop space for solar energy generation and has implemented an electrodialysis system to reduce electricity use during cold stabilization of its wines.
