Marynissen Estates Winery

Plan Your Getaway

Marynissen Estates has its roots deeply embedded in the soil of Niagara on the Lake.                                         Located at the base of the Niagara escarpment, the estate is home to the oldest planting of Cabernet Sauvignon in Canada. Founded by viticulture-pioneer, John Marynissen, the varietal was planted in 1978, alongside Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Gamay, Merlot and Syrah vines that have thrived in the soil for over 35 years. The vineyards rich history was born out of a strong devotion to the land, pioneering spirit and passion for wine. At Marynissen Estates we work closely with nature to create the finest grapes that our climate and terroir can produce. Our wines are a result of a perfect balance in the vineyard and a gentle hand in the cellar.

Marynissen Estates is proud to announce we are now growing and producing wines under the vigilant eyes and gentle hands of multi-award winning winemaker, Gordon Robert. With a special expertise and emphasis on cool-climate viticultural practices, Marynissen Estates continues to grow quality vinifera grapes and make premium world-class wines.

Marynissen Estates Winery is coming of age, and garnering wide acclaim while doing so. Marynissen is the only Canadian winery named among the ten Top Hot New Brands by Wine Business Monthly. Deeply rooted in the terroir and creating the wines that define the future, Marynissen is a winery to watch.
