Strewn is a unique and engaging wine and food destination that combines walk-in and by-appointment seated wine tastings, a wine boutique, recreational cooking school and restaurant.
Our winemakers craft top-tier wines that represent the Niagara terroir, show varietal characteristics and reflect vintage variation. Our portfolio includes age-worthy Bordeaux-style reds, fresh aromatic and rich, full-bodied whites, and iconic Icewines. In 2018, Strewn wines won more than 17 medals and commendations in International Wine Competitions.
Enjoy a walk-in tasting between 10 am and 5:30 pm in the Main Tasting Room. Choose a grouping (flight) of three wines and your tasting fee is waived with wine purchase. For an elevated experience, book a 40-minute or 60-minute seated tasting in the Heritage Room, which pays homage to the property’s roots as a 1940s fruit cannery.
Purchase Wines Only Available at the Winery:
Choose from more than two dozen VQA wines for sale in the winery boutique and online store. These include Premium white wines such as a dry Muscat, refreshing Pinot Grigio and “Sparkler”, an aromatic Sauvignon Blanc; Distinctive Small Lot wines such as a Cabernet Sauvignon from our Home Farm vineyard Sandy Block and another from its Clay Block, and a unique Barrel Aged Gewurztraminer. Terroir red wines are only made from exceptional vintages including our flagship red blend Strewn Three made from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Terroir white wines include three Chardonnays, each made in a different type of oak barrel (French, Canadian and American).
Try a Hands-On Cooking Class:
The on-site Wine Country Cooking School runs hands-on Saturday classes between mid-January and the end of November. Participants work with a partner to cook a seasonal three-course meal that is eaten in the school’s private dining room with a wine pairing to accompany each course. Those looking for a longer food experience can book a five-day Culinary Vacation in either July or August.

And a visit to Strewn can also include lunch or dinner at OLiV Restaurant, which offers tapas (small plates), shared plates and full entrees. Open from lunch through dinner; reservations recommended.
