When Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake kicked off its second Dig Our Roots event, a weekend of unique wine-tasting experiences, it did so in perhaps the most special, intimate way possible — with an exclusive winemakers’ dinner.
Eight winemakers spanning across NOTL’s sub-appellations — the St. David’s Bench, Four Mile Creek, Niagara River and Niagara Lakeshore — brought a selection of wine, five of which were expertly paired with a gourmet dish.
The small attendance of wine lovers enjoyed a sparkling reception — followed by a five-course dinner curated by executive chef Mark Longster — inside the Pillar and Post’s Olde Library and Gallery room on Friday, April 12.
